Generator Installation Process
Our bespoke comprehensive generator installation service takes you from initial site survey to commissioning and testing:
• Generator Installation -Site Survey – We offer a free, no obligation, site survey so as to offer you a choice of backup generator solutions to suite your budget.
• Generator Installation -Design – Generator Maintenance UK will design a fully purpose built generator system from scratch, including full schematics and electrical drawings.
• Generator Installation -Generators – Our bespoke solution allows you to specify and customise any part of the system including engine make, alternator, fuel tank size (and colour!), control unit and BMS communication and monitoring.
• Generator Installation – Our engineers have over 25 years of complete installation experience, siting generator systems in basements, on roofs, on ships, on remote highland sites
• Generator Installation – Commissioning – full commissioning of the generator including full certification and client training of the generator system
Canopied & Acoustic Generators
Generator Maintenance UK can supply and install the full spectrum of standby diesel generators including:
• Open set – These have no sound proofing or external canopy and are usually installed within a dedicated room (e.g. basement) next to the main switch room. The complete unit, including the engine, alternator and fuel tank is mounted on a heavy duty metal skid. Without any additional sound attenuation, appropriate sound proofing of the actual room is required.
• Standard Canopied set (80dbA@1m) – the acoustic canopy covering the generator reduces the noise levels to 80dbA@1 metre. By using a lockable and weatherproof canopy, this generator can be installed outside as well as inside.
• ‘Silent’ Canopied set (70dbA@1m) – the properties of the acoustic canopy provide additional sound attenuation reducing the noise levels to 70dbA@1metre. Additionally for special situations such as hospitals, a lower sound level of 70dbA@1m can be achieved
• Marine Containerised – a canopied sound proofed generator which is both lockable and sea weather proof as they are usually installed on the deck of a ship. Bespoke built generators– We can custom build any of our generators accordance with the clients requirements into a building –i.e. Retrofit or even build custom made sound attenuation into an existing building. .
